I've had Cambridge FPS 2000 speakers for quite a while now they've been pretty decent until a while back i went on holiday to come back and find that the digital cable that plugs into the SB Live daughter card had been completely broken. So i got round to emailing creative to see if i could get a replacement (not for free of course i doubt warrenty covers acts of stumbling ^_^ ) and got NO responce whatsoever i told my dad this and he tried...same deal he's also been checking every shop in the city (and even some in other cities) that sells or makes cords and none seem to stock this one...he's in the buisness and he's looked at the cord so i imagine he's not asking for the wrong one but i just can't see why i can't seem to find this ANYWHERE!! if anyone could help even if it's a shop in the US or Canada or something it doesn't matter as long as i can buy one of those cords off them. I still can't believe creative are ignoring requests like that...

This may seem silly (didn't hit me when something simlilar happened on a monitor of mine), but can you unplug the cable from the speaker side? if not, then there is no way you can replace it. I've yet to see a computer manufacturer give sodder-to-replace parts...

Athlon XP 1600+, MSI K7T PRO2 RU (POS), 2x256 MB CRUCIAL PC2100 CL2.5 memory, Asus V6800 DDR Delux (GF 256) video card, 6.4GB+27GB WD HD, 40GB IBM HD (all 7200RPM). My computer is an acronym

yes it can be unplugged apparently the way it broke in the first place was it being unplugged...(violently as someone tripped over it ^_^ )

but yeah the cord is completely seperate from the speakers...it's just rare and i'm having trouble finding it
