Creative Sound Blaster Z static in games.

Whenever i start a Game like Diablo 3 for example, my sound card starts to have a background buzz/static sound. but sometimes, it stops or doesn't at all. i've tried moving the front panel header cable away from any power cables, all cables infact, and it seems to have no effect. after i tried to getting a longer cable and plugging it into the actual card itself instead of the front panel and the buzz/static stopped no matter what i had open. without the sound card in and using the front panel there is no static.. is it just the cable placement? or the fact my sound card is between a GPU and the powersupply? or is this something to do with the card itself?

update - it was the front panel cable, it cant get within 5 inches of ANY cable in your case. had to make it go around the very edge of my case. and still am getting some static, ended up buying a pair of audiotechnica ath-m50s. it has a long cable so i can just plug them into the back.

any solution? i have the same problem. I has Creative Sound Blaster ZXR my config is: Intel i7 4970K 4.4Ghz, Asus Sabertooth z97 Mark1, Corsair RM1000, GTX 570 Twin Frozr III, SSD Samsung PRO 256gb, SSHD 2tb Seagate whit headphones MadCatz Tritton 5.1+ pro.

My problem is, when I open a game I listen static noises. if I close the game the static off but I listen it too slowly.

If you have a solution I'll appreciate your opinion. Thanks!

the only fix i was able to find is just using the back panel on the card itself and plug in directly to it. any front panel i'd get static because the audio wire had to travel through the case, thus picking up all the electronic signals. if you are using the back, may want to try putting it in a slot away from anything like your GPU, just a little bit away. also make sure no cables or anything is touching the card itself. its all about cable management. and the reason why the static starts when a game does is because your system starts using more power, creating more static that the card can pick up.
