This is build is primarily for after effects, 4k+ video editing, cinema 4d + octane, and some unreal engine - looking to get some final feed back on the remaining parts.

I decided to wait for a 5090, and so far I already have:

- AMD Ryzen 9 7950X 4.5 GHz 16-Core Processor

- Aorus x670 elite ax rev 1.3

- ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III 360 56.3 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler

- Three front intake, one rear exhaust - be quiet! Silent Wings 4 51.3 CFM 140 mm Fan

- Fractal Design Meshify 2 XL ATX Full Tower Case

Remaining Parts to buy
- Leaning towards MSI Ventus GeForce RTX 5090 32GB GDDR7 PCI Express 5.0 Graphics Card RTX 5090 32G VENTUS 3X OC

- I think the sweet spot for stability with my board is DDR5 2×48GB 6000 expo - open to recommendations here

- General plan for storage + external drives for cold storage
SlotDrive & CapacityUse Case
M2A_CPUSamsung 9100 PRO 4 TB (Gen 5)OS, Adobe + Unreal apps, active project files
M2B_CPUSamsung 990 PRO 4 TB (Gen 4)Scratch/cache (AE, Premiere, Octane temp data)
M2C_SBSamsung 990 PRO 2 TB (Gen 4)Asset libraries (overlays, LUTs, models, grains, HDRIs)

- Seems like 1200 might be the safe option, open to suggestions here as well Corsair RM1200x Shift Fully Modular ATX Power Supply - Modular Side Interface - ATX 3.1 & PCIe 5.1 Compliant - Zero RPM Fan Mode - 105°C-Rated Capacitors - 80 Plus Gold Efficiency - Black

I think im pretty close here, just want to get any final thoughts, suggestions. Here is the part picker https://pcpartpicker.com/list/JvnWsp

I'd really recommend avoiding ANY of the MSI Ventus series cards, regardless of what model the card actually is. Especially for a creator build where you're not going to likely be wearing headphones all the time. And the reason is, the Ventus cards are well known to have weak cooling performance when compared to most other card families and they tend to use cheaper, lower quality fans than models that are easily recommendable. They are a budget card, no question, but budget isn't really appealing when you have to deal with noisy fans that have a tendency to fail much sooner than a lot of other configurations. Just my cents on that.

Although it's a little bit more expensive, I'd really recommend looking at the Trio or Tuf Gaming models. They have better heatsinks, better fans, so better cooling overall, and since they are more mid tiered cards compared to the entry level Ventus, they likely also have other premium aspects the Ventus is not likely to have.

As to the memory, I'd recommend this kit. The Ripjaws are excellent, often times using as good or better IC's than the Trident Z sticks, which in this case, are only .667MT/s faster than the Ripjaws which, 9.333mS True latency vs 10mS True latency, you and everybody else is never going to notice the difference in True Latency when it's that small. Plus, the Trident sticks are 100 bucks more. And G.Skill tends to play nice with Ryzen platforms a lot better overall than the majority of other memory brands. Whatever you do, avoid Corsair for Ryzen platforms, in general, unless you are going to go with Dominator sticks and even then I've seen significantly more compatibility issues with them than with AMD oriented Ripjaws or Trident Z sticks.

The rest, looks pretty good.

Thanks, it helps when someone knows the really nitty gritty details, and compatibility. There are so many versions it's hard to know what the differences are.

Looks like there are a few other 5090s under 3k, would you have any specific recommendations?

This MSI trio is only $10 more

G.Skill working with Ryzen is a good tip + yours is cheaper, and RGB so thank you there as well
