Crossfire or replace my gpu?

depends on your budget and what games you play but if it were me I would get a 300 series GPU..the more powerful the better. Crossfire is buggy IMO...if you want to run multi GPU SLI is the more stable choice though it has it's own issues as well and obviously not applicable as our running an AMD GPU.

Crossfiring / SLI is not recommended unless you want to push it further than the strongest single card. So for example if you have a R9 Fury X and you want more performance you can crossfire. However if you have something like a R9 270X you are better off selling it and getting something like a R9 390 which is a great performance increase.

Make sure your PSU supports the R9 390, if it doesn't you can go with something like the GTX 970 or the GTX 980 depending on your budget.

I would recommend getting a new GPU, as if you went crossfire then the Vram is mirrored, so instead of having 4GB Vram (2x2GB) you get 2GB. The power of dual 270x's seems a bit unbalanced if you only pair it with 2GB of Vram, and therefore you would only double your performance on games that use up to 2GB of Vram. That's just a suggestion, but i'm avid about future proofing my PC, and most likely newer games would require more Vram, so you would require a more powerful card to play them, which then gives you more option to crossfire later.

Hope that helped.
