crossfire or upgrade 270x

i have a gigabyte r9 270x and wanting to upgrade.

The r9 270x is extremely power hungry. Combining two of them will most likely push your PSU to its limits. It's safer to just go for a 380x (even though you will lose a bit in power, so you might consider selling your 270x and getting a gtx 970).

I wouldn't say that its " Extremely power hungry " if you were to compare to GPUs 5 years ago. But yeah I wouldn't recommend crossfire. You would need to get a better PSU and then you might even need water cooling. Dual GPUs would generate a lot of heat so proper cooling is a must. but to save you from all the hassle and driver issues, just sell ur R9 270x and upgrade from there. don't forget that not all games are compatible with crossfire.
