crossfire/SLI 2.0 and 3.0

so if i crossfire/SLI 2 cards that support 3.0Pci.e on a motherboard that has second generations Pci slots , will i have decrease in performance?

If it doesn't have any PCIe 3 it will decrease more than if you have the lead card in a PCIe 3, however it won't be that much of a drop.

so the motherboard is an asrock 990fx extreeme 3 retail and has no pci3 slots... how much drop will be?
