Crosshair Hero VII Wifi Samsung Evo 860 Sata III

My Samsung Evo 860 SSD (Sata III) is not being detected in my BIOS. I tried to connect it to the top and the lower Serial ATA 6Gb/s connector on the motherboard. My goal is to use this SSD as a regular drive to store my content.
I'm using a Evo 960 Nvme in one of the M.2 socket, where my OS are installed (Linux and W10 dual boot).

If correctly connected, cables working and SSD not detected, then it might be defective. Try returning it to be replaced.

The SSD is brand new.

Now it does show up in my Bios under "Boot". It says "P5: Samsung SSD 860 EVO 500GB (47694MB).

Any ideas?

Then try formatting it in Disk management.
