CRT monitor dead or just overheated?

I have a CRT monitor and about an hour ago it just turned off while I was using it. It is a gateway diamondtron NF VX720. I unplugged it and let it sit while blowing some cool air into the room with a fan, still doesn't work. The screen doesn't light up and the light on the power button remains unlit. I checked to make sure the wall socket is still providing power. So my question is do I have to let it sit longer or "reset" it somehow or is it just dead? If it is dead, then does anyone have an idea on how I can get a cheap/free replacment?

Hmm, how much is cheap, and where should I take it to get it fixed? Also I thought no one worked on CRT's anymore due to it being a pain in the ass and slightly dangerous due to high voltages stored in the capacitors. Also thanks for the reply.
