Crucial has just launched its first entry into the overclocking world called the Ballistix brand. The website can be found at: http://www.crucial.com/ballistix/index.asp
This memory can and will reach speeds of 500MHz at CL-2 and is tailored for the high performance gamer. This memory has been tested is several motherboards and uses quality parts. These modules use the same high quality components that are found on all Crucial modules so if performance and quality is what you are after then have a look and happy gaming!!! BTW: All Ballistix modules are PC3200 speed.

And you do take trade-ins, right? Are these sticks based on the new micron chips?

Thanks for making the address linked guys. About the chips on the modules, we have hand picked these chips off the waffers and the major changes are internal. I am unable to discuss the particulars.

I've never had problems with Crucials lifetime warranty myself, if I remember correclty, main limitation is if they don't make that anymore they'll give closest one.

Course, only had to relpace 3 chips in the 1000 or so I've probably bought(used to buy it by the tray at old job)

BTW, thanks for finding that for me.

PM me if you'd like them reviewed in comparison to Corsair's XMS4000 Pro at Sysopt.com.

Any word on a 1024 Stick of PC3200? I purchased the 512 for now but would rather have a single stick of 1gb instead of 2 at 512mb each.

That would make sense. They don't want anybody peeking under the heatspreaders and not seeing Micron or Infineon chips!

I'd really like to see your Ballistix PC4000 compared to Corsair's XMS4000 Pro at Sysopt. If you go to Sysopt.com's XMS4000 Pro Review and contact the author, I'm sure he'd be willing to take a pair of modules off your hands for a review
