Question Crucial Ballistix Sport XT 8GB replacement

Hello there, I am using Crucial Ballistix Sport XT 8GB DDR3 1600 MT/s and my mobo only has two RAM slots, I'd like to add another 8GB Stick but i might have some difficulty finding a duplicate stick in the local market in my country, So i am wondering, Would a different brand with the same specifications work? And if so, Can someone point me to models that would work with the stated model? Thank you for your time.

Ram mixing is luck. Your best bet is to sell the old ram and buy a 2x8gb 1600mhz kit.
Another stick with same specs from a different brand may work, but it might not. There are no guaranteed sticks that would work with the existing ram.
