Looks like they have been bribed by nVidia to make it a TWIMTBP game, with the launch of next graphics solution of the green team. Well, it could be the red team as well. 🙁

[citation][nom]darkerson[/nom]Why am I not surprised about Crysis 2? Ah well, it just will up the ante on what gamers expect of it when it finally does come out...hope it can live up to everyones expectations...[/citation]
[citation][nom]jimmysmitty[/nom]How dare you compare the all-mighty Duke to a whimp.For shame!!!![/citation]

Agree!!!!! Duke old days....

:/
I'll be waiting for you Crysis 2.

NFS Shift 2, on the other hand, I won't. I played NFS World, and sent EA a picture of goatse and demanded my money back. (They haven't replied, wonder why?)

It is allso guite possible that they found out that none of todays GPU are fast enough to run Crysis 2, so they delayed and wait for ATI6000, and Ferni II series ;-)

Well seriously, I find it allways better to make it rigth, than hurry and then wait for patches...

I think it was a smart move, actually. Regardless if the game will be ready in the Fall, for PCs, it'll probably be resource intensive like Crysis (1). Some gamers may get new computers or upgrades for Christmas, thus will be able to play a game LIKE Crysis 2. So maybe they'll sell more of the PC version by simply waiting a little bit longer. This was Crysis 1's downfall. Not many had a computer that could actually support its gameplay.

I pre-ordered the new Halo coming out in Sept, that will tie me over for a little while. Crysis is still cool, but there were several areas that I really hated and they were annoying. Me I just like the fight, and sniper sections, that floating space type of stuff, ehh, not good.

WOW.... I am astonished...

"This will also give the Crytek team more time to polish a great title."

EA taking "Time" to do something right ?

Marketing position????!!!! Are you guys Fkn kidding me? People and press have been drooling over this for months. There will be NO PROBLEM marketing this. What a lame ass excuse.

As much as people complained about StarCraft II, even a month or two before release as I played the beta I found things that needed to be fixed (and they were fixed).

I'd rather they finish the game properly than rush it out, as cliche as that sounds.

Crysis is gonna get murdered if it was released during the Christmas season. It has no console fanbase compaired to Haaaaylo, Call of Doodie, or Me-dull of honor. Plain and simple.

As for upgrading the hardware to play it? You do realize that it's supposed to be able to be played on an aging console right? Of course you won't have to upgrade anything as long as the computer's made of midrange parts from 3 years ago. I don't think Crytech is going to make the same "mistake" of making ANOTHER interactive benchmark.
