Good for you. More power to you.

Somethings in life can be a sure winning bet. One such thing is that someone will write AMD needs better drivers. That's of course when they're not writing you need a new power supply

[citation][nom]battlecrymoderngearsolid[/nom]Since the difference between a GTX 680 and a 690 is less than 10 FPS at 1080p, does that mean that a Heavily OCed 680 can keep up with the 690?[/citation]
No it wont because in this game the difference between 2 fps is like the difference between 2-3 fps in common games.

It probably means that the CPU isn't fast enough to let the GTX 690 do its work. its a CPU bottle neck.

I find it strange that my AMD1090t with a HD7950 reference board gives me 45 fps with very High 2xAA and 16XAF. I wish that more review sites would include the Thuban CPUs in their comparison benchmarks.

As of May, the Thuban 1090T will be 3 years old, would you benchmark with 3 year old CPUs?

At any rate, someone posted a link on one of my posts about some different CPU bottle necks, it was very helpful to me:

First

You know that's funny because I do not see any new benchmarks of the 1090T vs newer AMD or Intel CPUs. Yet they will put the 965BE in there. Anyway this game does not stress my system any more than TWS2 on ultra.

well, based on what I see with my Crysis 3, the 1090T would def post higher frame rates than the 965, clock for clock, because it LOVES more threads

[citation][nom]BigMack70[/nom]AMD has yet to release a general fix/improvement for frame latency - they just addressed it in a few games so far.[/citation]

Thats pretty much the point. There is no "general fix" nor can there be. There is the commitment to pay attention to it with each new game they test.

Your Feb. Graphics update mentions "too bad the 6870s are gone" - you know why? I bought them all, that's right, ALL of them.
Please include 6870s in crossfire in all future testing.
I could probably send your testers some if they need them. :)

Actually Nvidia are experiencing more severe issues in this area than AMD in certain games. One of those is Crysis 3. For example, the GTX Titan, 680, 670, and 660 Ti all score higher frame time variance than the AMD cards in the Very High benchmark.

As much as this is a good bench mark for the cry3 engine on video cards is a bit misleading, the fact that it is a top of the line the engine and its demands can fry a rig that is just a year old. Both CPU and north and south bridges on motherboards just a year old are taking a heat beating. Your testing on a 6core intel is hiding that fact that the engine needs more then just a top of the line video card. Some of the games currently in Beta using Cry3 are finding participants dropping out because the video card is a small piece to the puzzle. Cry3 like Cry1 is pushing the envelope of the average rig so be careful. Don't just try upgrading your video and expecting that to be the whole answer to the issue.

[citation][nom]will1220[/nom]Why would you include the top of the line amd, middle of the line intel (ivy bridge i5) and not the top of the line ivy bridge i7 3770k?????????[/citation]

Exactly my thoughts

its a funny thing, it only lists 7 'stages' and Cry 2 has like 19...

I think its gone pretty fast, I got maybe 6 hours in it, but I haven't finished the last 'stage'
