I decided to play Crysis once more with my evga gtx 1060 superclocked (I played it first time with a gtx 295)

My rig is:

CPU: i7 920 overclocked 3.6
GPU: evga gtx 1060 superclocked
RAM: 12 gb

It plays well but there are frequent frame rate drops which make no sense in my opinion since afterburner shows that there is plenty of processing power available (have a look at the attached images).

I play at 1920x1200. I have the issues with either very high setting or with some settings (eg shades) at high and the rest at very high. I use the latest drivers.

Is it a software/development issue or am I missing something?

It may, I haven't played too many older games recently as I'm trying to play through the Witcher 3 which is like a second job as well as playing WoWs and BnS which takes a bit of my time as well. My biggest issue is getting 21:9 to run on older games but the utilization is still kind of low, figured it's just due to Win10 and the hardware being a bit OP 😛 . I'm at work now but when I get a chance I'll download some older games like Portal & Jade Empire and let you know the usages.

Thanks for your reply. Updated my description:

"I play at 1920x1200. I have the issues with either very high setting or with some settings (eg shades) at high. I use the latest drivers."

But this main thing is that I have lot of power left unused?
