With my 7950GT I have to say that Crysis in 1.2 is a lot smoother than 1.0. When I had it at 1.0 it would always freeze and skip. Also I seem to have gotten a few extra fps as well.

Alrighty, I guess I could take all these comments on how everyone else is above personal attacks and how pointless they are.... or I could flip back to page one and reread LukeBird's first reply to me. That was nothing but a personal attack... and it wasn't too well thought out either (compared to his later posts). Hit a nerve perhaps?

If you feel you're being personally attacked it's because I'm personally attacking you. You still sound like an idiot hiding behind an iron curtain. Where does this premium exist? Are you crazy or just daft (primary definition)? Go configure similar laptops at Dell and the Apple store and you'll see it right there. I mean when the margin is that large compared to Dell of all places it really is a waste of money. If that margin isn't large enough for your tastes then try comparing apple's products to similarly equipped laptops on newegg. If that is still not enough, then we could turn this into an argument against all pc manufacturers being overpriced compared to the cost of building it yourself. Then of course macs would still be by far the top offender. Now what exactly does me not mentioning your mac being old have to do with my mac user experience? A used mac should cost more than a used pc with similar components, the price gap still remains. Mentioning that makes little sense. It's just another piece of crap to throw at someone to make you feel satisfied that you've written enough filler. Also... I cannot enlighten you as to where you said my opinion is wrong, because I never said that you said my opinion is wrong... not sure what that was about.

I must admit though; my "I-know-better-than-anyone response"s are pointless without a text book's worth of information laying out how my mind has formulated those conclusions. I cannot very often simply convey a thought and all the adjoining life experiences and genetic factors that make it seem like the correct viewpoint. I suppose I stick it out there like that because it feels like such a natural thing to do. I have a low tolerance for illogical people.

As for all the comments by others... If you find me annoying, that's a personal issue. Have fun with that. As for personal attacks being pointless, now that is just absurd. If your issue is with a person in general and/or their viewpoints then address it to them. Besides, if you do it aggressively enough you might make them angry. They're more likely to make mistakes in that case. It's all about show here, little BS maneuvers and word manipulation. For instance when I said^ mentioning his mac being older made no sense, I can actually think of a few instances where it might make sense, but it sounds better when I don't get into that. Most of you do this without really thinking about it though, as I'm sure some will in response to this. I may give you too much credit, often times it is simply that you didn't understand a certain concept so you didn't cover it properly.

I'd say I digress, but really I find this all to be relevant.

The benchmarking is incomplete and is meaningless. It may tell the case on some special condition but is not reflect the whole performance on Foreware version in Crysis.

Because it doesn't run as a 'Mac' just a weaker more expensive PC running Windows.

If it ran native in OSX that'd be a different story worth investigating.

Otherwise it's like saying 'hey you tested it on a homebuilt, why not a DELL?'

I thought you would have inferred "Mac OS" from when I said mac, but meh, I guess the I was trying to make is that, it doesn't "Just Work" so to speak :)
