All,

I just noticed that my Crystal Castles machine looks different than in
mame. In mame, the castle walls are grey and on my machine the walls
are pink. Is this just a problem in mame or do I have a problem here?
Otherwise the game plays perfect. Any ideas??

Is your monitor adjusted correctly?

Sounds like you have to turn down the red pot on the monitor or turn up the
screen or brightness control a tad. If you notice any bleeding of the red
in other areas it's probably the red pot just needs a tweak down. If you
can get someone to hold a mirror that makes it easiest.

The monitor is adjusted correctly and I changed the color ram chip with
no sucess. It seems to be that the walls are pink and do not appear to
be a color bleeding issue as the are perfectly pink. Any ideas?

Have you checked the chips immediately before and after the color RAM
chip in the circuit? Get a logic probe (or better yet an oscilloscope)
and check all the I/O.
