Hello! Recently, in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, my FPS has been dropping. My FPS was fine, around 110-130 a two months ago, and this issue only started popping up in the last month.

If I restart my computer, the FPS will be back to normal when I play CS:GO again. However, if I quit/restart CS:GO, the FPS will have dropped about 40. If I quit/return again, It will drop even further. (The lowest I have gone was 20 FPS.)

I have tried deleting background.swf in the CS:GO game files, but this did not help. Also, adding
"-processheap" to the launch options seems to have no effect.

My computer specs:
OS: Windows 7 64bit
GPU: Nvidia GTX 680
CPU: Intel i5 3550 3.3GHz
RAM: 8 GB
Motherboard: Asrock H77-Pro4/MVP

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Solution
I had an issue with the tplink software which would cause csgo to grind to 1 fps and wasnt until i uninstalled that i could play it,
I have the tp-link wireless card. What shall i do to fix the fps drop?

Specs :
Os : win7 64 bit
GPU: EVGA gtx 770
CPu : AMD FX-8150 3.6 GHz
Ram : 8GB
Motherboard : Gigabyte GA-970a-DS3

First make sure that it is the TP Link software that is causing the issue

Go to the task manager
click the processes tab
I have forgotten what the process is called but it was something like "TPCT.exe"
End the process and try your game to see if there is any improvement
if there is improvement remove the TP Link wireless manager
If not then something else is causing the problem
