hi,i am trying to print from ipad to canon mg3650s printer for my mum.
i thought i had it set up for her over a year ago when we bought the printer, but yesterday she tried to print something from a webpage,it said it was in a queue.
we waited half hour but nothing happened apart from the printer making a few initial printer noises when print was pressed.
anyway we gave up and i said id look into it today.
spent few hours at it to no avail.
we are able to print via wifi from her windows laptop no problem.
the printer in question is airprint comaptible(according to the list given online)
although i havent seen any popup comming up on ipad when we pressed print.( never printed from ipad or iphone before,so dont know if airprint comes up on screen or not)
another example from her ipad today was a photo she recieved via email. i clicked on print, the menu comes up regarding which printer to choose(there is only 1) colour etc then pressed print, and almost straight away a box pops up saying "success print successful" although the printer not only did not print anything, but didnt even make a sound ( it is switched on)
can anyone shed some light on this latest addition to my "its never easy" syndrome
thanks in advance.

"From the application software of your Apple device, tap the operation icon to display the menu options."

Using the iPad go to Apple's website/store and look for the Canon printer software/drivers intended for your iPad and printer.

Search using "Canon MG3650" driver. You may need to revise the search criteria a bit.

Objective being to download and install Canon (my underline) software intended for your model iPad and printer.

I used an old iPad and found two apps: Canon PRINT and Canon PRINT Business.

Canon PRINT would be my first choice to GET, install, and configure.

[Note: There were other applications that included "Canon" in some manner but were probably not really Canon applications.]

Check the iPad first to determine if the software is already installed. Could be an older version or some "look-alike" app that got installed on the iPad.
