Hello,

I've just build my new comp and I think it doesn't give the Fps it should on CS:GO.

I have 200-250 fps with falls to 120 and rarely higher than 300.

There is benchmarks with people using the same Gpu having constant 300-400 fps.

What strenghten my opinion is that nothing in my comp reach high temp. After hours of competitive game, cpu reach max 53 degree celsius (it used to reach 68 on my old comp), gpu reach max 65 and it supposed to go 75 on high usage.

Second fact that make me believe my comp is under usage on CS:GO:
I don't get any more Fps if I turn the game from Ultra everything maxed at 1920x1080 to lower quality and lower resolution as possible.

I didn't try many other game so far but Dying Light and the last Hitman run perfectly on Ultra settings fixed at 60 fps and everything in the comp stay cold after hours of game.

After trying ton of tutorial about increasing fps, nothing work.

My spec:
Mobo: M5a99Fx Rev.2
Cpu: Fx8320 stock 3,5ghz
Cpu fan: Noctua NH-U14S
Gpu: Sapphire R9 390x Nitro OC 8g
Ram: Kingstone Fury 2x8 go 1866mhz
Ssd: Samsung Evo 250 go
Hdd: Toshiba 1 To
Power: 700w at 80+ efficiency
Os: Windows 10 (installed on Ssd, and steam is on Hdd.)

All this is in a Corsair Graphite 780T with good a good ventilation.

Ps: Pardon my english
Ps2: Pease avoid me the typical "human eyes can't see above 30 fps". This is not the subject of this topic and studies have showed way higher human capabilities. And any way, I want to get the performances my comp deserve.

CS:go only uses one thread for game logic, you can go into menu and enable multithreading support but I think it's only for the graphics, if the game logic demands CPU power 3,5Ghz amd core is not enough, well it is enough but for the FPS you are getting and not more.

Multi-core are enabled in the game yes. What you say should explain why I get no fps differences between low and ultra graphics settings. So overclocking could increase my fps ?

R9 390 should give you more FPS then you are getting right now I agree. What you can do is
Check that you have latest version of drivers installed. I have the same card and even though I only have 8GB RAM I get 290 to 300 FPS.

What cpu do you use with the 290?

For drivers I tried those from the sapphire cd, then sapphire website, then those from Amd website.
I'm still wondering if it's fully installed. I had errors messages during some installation, but the last from Amd seems ok (May 10 2016).

Amd Gaming Evolved say it can't update drivers automatically, Radeon settings say it is up to date, Windows say drivers work correctly but in history of drivers it say "the installation need to continue"

This is strange. No increase in FPS at all? Also other games are giving constant 60 fps but only csgo is under-performing. This might be a fault of game not optimized for AMD cards by the developer dont you think?

I can't say if the game is well optimized or not, but with msi afterburner, I see that in a Cs:go game, after hours of competitive, my cpu is at 35 degree (celsius) and 30 - 40 % usage all the time. The gpu say 100% usage but reach max 59 degree (can go to 73 on Ark:survival evolved maxed quality settings).
I see people's video with the same gpu having 300-400 fps all the time.. But can't find data on cs:go with the Fx8320.

And yes there is absolutely no increase at all lowering quality or resolution, not even one :-(
