CS:GO Ryzen Pc Shuts Off, no thermal issue

Almost everytime i try to play CS:GO, after the first or second match (20 - 100 mins) my pc just shuts off mid game. All LEDs turn off except the ones of the mainboard. I have to plug the pc off, until the LEDs of the mainboard turn off (5 seconds), to restart the pc.

Other games like Overwatch play well (more than 3 hours) with higher temps and even Stress Tests run without crashing. The temps in CS:GO are 50 C for the CPU and 70 C for GPU (so it is definitely not a thermal issue).

Windows gives this critical error in the Event Logger: Kernel Power 41.
I updated all drivers and even the Bios and reinstalled Steam and CS:GO, but nothing helps.

I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out.

The PC is also very new 2 months and these are the specs:

CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 (not overclocked)
GPU: Rx 580
Ram: Corsair CMK8GX4M2B3000C15 (at 2133, was at 2933, but downclocked it again,
which did not help)
Mainboard: Asus Prime B350M-A
PSU: Evga 600b

^+1 Agree with Vapour. I couldn't find that exact model (600b) but the 500b gets good reviews for a value PSU. However, it's a 3-4 yr old PSU, so it may be on the way out (it only has a 3 yr warranty). As vapour has said, if you can borrow one that be great, just to see. Whats kinda bizarre though is you can stress your system without crashes, and at stress levels the PSU will be working full pelt, so it's kind weird that it doesn't crash under full load.

edit: is the PSU new, or just the rest of the PC?

The whole PC is new, including the PSU.

That is what i suspected and so far i have only monitored the CPU voltage, because in idle it is higher than set in BIOS. However under load it is at a constant 1.2 V, i am going to also check GPU Voltage and the 12V, 5V and 3.3V voltages under load.

Thank you for your reply

I played 2 rounds with monitoring and did not notice any strange voltages, but then again the pc did not crash strangley enough.
What i noticed though was, that the map Dust 2 did not crash as often as the map Mirage (have only been playing these two).

Borrowing a PSU will be hard for me, but I will try to find one.

Thank you

I have probably no option but to replace both. Would you suggest to get other parts or are they good enough?

Others should be fine. Try a cheap one like this, psu first:

I wanted to give an update on this topic:
I have not replaced any parts yet and tested playing again. I noticed, that Dust 2 did not crash the pc, so I wanted to ask, if this is definetly a hardware problem and not somwhere in the software.

After playing some more, i found out, that the PC crashes also on Dust 2 and I think the other maps too.
And after crashing another time i turned the pc on and immediatly after Windows started a Blue Screen came up saying: "THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER"
In WhoCrashed (free program) it says the following:

The crash took place in a standard Microsoft module. Your system configuration may be incorrect. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver on your system that cannot be identified at this time.

This sounds like there is problem with the graphics driver. Do you think, that it has something to do with the previous crashes.

I have tried to reinstall the driver, but it did not solve the problem.
But i think I found the problem. I took the graphics card out of the PCIE Slot and put it back. I noticed, that it was not really clicking, so I checked, whether it was mounted correctly. It seems like the metal part of the gpu, where the screws go in, is held up by the case, which means that the legt Part ist top high and therefore Not seated properly. Problem is I don't know how to solve this.

I think you can see, what i mean. To me, at least, it looks like it is not properly seated and it also does not feel like it. Tested it even with a Geforce G210, which i took out of my old PC. In that PC it definitely was mounted correctly, whereas in the new PC it was very wiggly. I think it has to do with the PC-Case. (The pins below the motherboard are installed and the motherboard is I think not t0o low, before anyone asks.)

So you mean I should build the PC up without the case? If so, will the GPU hold up on its own or is it too unstable, because of the weight? And should I build up the whole PC so I can start it or just to see, whether the GPU fits in correctly?

PS: I thank you very much for your time you have put in to help me

Of course not, what i meant to ask was, whether i should also plug in the PSU and start up the PC and test to play CS GO?

I am pretty sure this is the problem. Haven't tested, what was suggested, but after installing the graphics card again I could play without crashing. I think, that the connection to the PCIE-Slot loosened over time and after reinstalling the card, the connection is a liitle bit better now. But I am pretty sure, I need to replace the case, which is a good thing.
