[SOLVED] CSM disabled wont let me boot to windows 10

whenever i disable CSM my PC no longer boots into windows10 so i can upgrade to windows 11.i disable CSM and then enable Secure boot.

soon as i enable CSM again it lets me boot back into windows10 no problem.whats the issue?

You're probably using MBR on your Windows 10 OS drive. UEFI requires GPT for the boot drive. Disabling CSM enables UEFI.
You can try to convert your drive to GPT using MBR2GPT but make sure you back up all data first.

If it were me, I would just back up all data and do a fresh install of Windows 11. Just make sure your user account is associated with a Microsoft account beforehand.
Have you ran an upgrade advisor to see if your system meets all the requirements?
Off hand I'd guess your system boot drive is MBR instead of GPT. Win11 needs a UEFI boot. UEFI needs the GPT partition style and the Secure boot & CSM settings you mentioned are needed for that...

In all, you're probably going to need to fresh install Win11. Make sure you back up your current system in case there's stuff there you need to recover.
