Hello all,

I went ahead and try to build a gaming PC based off of the "best gaming build under $1250 & $1500" and I came up with this... Can you let me know if this works to support today's high-end games and possibly the next 5 years?

Also, any type of adjustments would be great if it means to lower the costs without any or hardly any effect on gaming's performance. My budget was supposed to be just a little over $1,000. Thanks for any help!

No sir, no overclocking here. Resolution would be at 1080 or higher. I just want to make sure that if I'm spending a lot of money on gaming, I want to be able to get the most of them all the time.

If you want to use the EVO, its just fine, just saying maybe there you can save some bucks.

If you're not going to OC at all and you're sure about your decision, you can downgrade the wattage to 550W from the PSU.

Also, consider going to aftermarket coolers cards. Just don't go for the founders edition.

If you're not going to overclock or SLI, go get another motherboard. It wouldn't make sense to get the "Z170" over the "H170" chipset. :)

That would save you some money. :)

After watching so many youtube videos the past few days, is it really necessary to overclock overtime? If not, then I was thinking of just getting either a 4790 or a 4690. I'm sorry, I'm really just trying to get the most out of the budget I have without having to sacrifice any gaming experience to its fullest potential (minus overclocking, of course) now and in the near future.

Literally no point in going with older architecture to save money since Skylake is on par with them in cost now and will be relevant for longer. If you're really desperate to save money drop to an i5-6500 and a good H170 board

So I should stick with the 6700 then & get a H170 mobo.
