Custom 'painting' cables using nailpolish

I have corsair cs650 PSU and it's main cable is not completely sleeved. At the end you can see different colored cables coming out at the end. [See image link below]

I was thinking of maybe painting this end part of the cables with my friend's black nail polish. Is it a bad idea? Could it cause any damage? Yes i will be careful.

If that is what you want may I suggest liquid electrical tape. it can be painted on, dries opaque black and will add insulation.

I have not used this brand but it was the cheapest I could find in 30 sec. not an endorsement for this particular product
