Hey all, Looking for some guidance/advice -
BACKGROUND: I have a part-time photography business, shoot a lot of family photos, and also capture a lot of video from family vacations (recently 4k). I'm looking to build a PC (Intel preferably) to handle my photography editing and also now be able to edit my 4k family videos and create slideshow type compilations for memories. I will not be doing any major special effects or 3D rendering. I mainly use Lightroom, Photoshop, and Premiere and with new CPU will be open to try other software. Right now I'm working off a old XPS 8700 i7-4770 w/ 16GB RAM and can't even handle 4k or significant video editing for that matter. I have a Canon 5d Mark iv, and also import RAW my video comes from my GoPro in 4k and soon transitioning to more travel friendly camera that will also use for video.
DISCUSSION: I'm looking to build a PC that would handle the above. I would like to try and keep my cost below $2000 for the build (at this point don't require monitor). I think I can do so well within my budget.
Open to hear some lessons learned and advice from some of the folks that have done this before. I'm hoping to have faster rendering, import, export times and like to tinker around. I would like to make sure that if I start doing videos for my business I'll be covered with my current build. Someone mentioned that I would be more then fine with an i5-12600k, thoughts?
Be more than appreciative if ya wanted to list out some parts too.
Thanks in advance.
