Would love some advice on a new build. Let's start with me. I'm very technical but mostly in servers and I haven't shopped for a PC in years. VR has brought me back because this might just be a fad for me, I don't want to drop a ton of cash on this build.

My use case: This will primarily sit on the floor right next to my living room LG OLED for two main use cases - Oculus/Vive VR, playing first person adventure games, and some online space sims. Perhaps I will do some limited cartography work on it in the future. Perhaps it will become a media server in the future.

My requirements:
- My budget is between $1500-2500. I'd prefer to spend less in case I end up not playing it much - i.e. limit my investment. This will NOT be my main computer. I am willing to spend more for good reason, however.
- It can't be too loud since it will sit in the living room.
- We have some unusual pets (prairie dogs) that create some serious dust in this room so dust filters on the case are a must
- Case aesthetics are VERY important to me since it will be prominently featured in my living room. (To give you an idea of my style I like both the Corsair 570x and the Phanteks Evolv TG because they both have a clean classy look.) That said, I don't really care about RGB.
- I will use a top tier graphics card (1080 ti). Why? Cause I'd like to put my friends' benchmark scores to shame. For this reason, a wee bit of overclocking might be nice. At least I can admit it. ;)
- I will probably never SLI.
- I will probably never add expansion cards.
- I will need wifi until I get in my attic and wire the room. And let's be honest, I'll probably sell the house before that happens.
- I'd like fast storage. I will never buy another HDD. So NVMe or SSD is fine. I have zero interest in RAID. NVMe is fast enough.
- This system needs some longevity. I probably won't seriously upgrade it for at least 5 years.

Thanks in advance for your help! I really appreciate it. One more thing... For those that say "just go by a Dell" I don't have a good response except to say that I'm not a huge fan of gaming systems. I think they look lame.
