*Disclaimer* I am a noob when it comes to water cooling so go easy on me

I am currently struggling with my air cooler since i want to overclock my i7700k, so i am thinking to uprade to water cooling. I got the silent base 800 and I don't know how to mount the reservoirs or fit in pumps. I removed the second drive cage and i would also be able to do that with my hotswap cage so there would be plenty of space for a reservoire and pump but i don`t think i can just put it on the Top of my storrage cage without any screws mounted on...

So how are they normaly installed do i need a new case?

Picture enclosed and any recommandations on reservoirs and pumps are more than welcome.

Simple way to determine if you have a cooler problem or an airflow problem:

Run benchmarking with case as you normally would have it, note temps.

Remove case side panel, use a box or desk fan on highest speed possible and orient airflow into your case. Run benchmarking, note temps.

If your temperature differences are larger than 5C, then you have an airflow issue in your system case.

there is nothing terribly wrong with this case.
you can do a custom loop in it without problem.
the thing is that you are going to invest at least 250$ in a solution that not necessarily going to solve your problem because of the TIM used in 7700K.
the much cheaper and effective approach would be starting with deliding the CPU.
