I was thinking of getting 2 1080ti's and overclocking them...CHOICES are ASUS POSIEDON, MSI SEAHAK EK X, EVGA FTW3 (I HOPE THEY COME OUT WITH A EK WATERBLOCK OPTION CAUSE I LOVE THE DUAL BIOS OPTION FOR OVERCLOCKING) I want to water cool my whole system(mobo and all) for the first time(see rig in sig). I am a newbie in this area and want to incorporate water cooling into my hobby of computers... I have a HAF X. ASUS MAXIMUS VII FORMULA, 4790K @4.4 everyday and 4.8 for gaming only..... I have 2 780ti classifieds now that I am replacing...I was hoping that an EK X360 kit mounted inside with one additional 140mm radiator w/ an EK-vardar fan,or led phantec( I have two red led phantek fans140mm) 140mm fan mounted externally would be enough....140mm rad would have two be externally mounted for space or can be mounted inside the case near the large 230mm led cooler master fan that came with the case, or I can mount the 360mm rad in pull configuration making room for 140mm rad to be mounted inside due to the fans being mounted on top for the 360mm rad..... what to do???

500mm of rad space should be enough and will fit in my case as 360mm + 140mm.

I don't know if I need the extreme EK kit but it has good reviews..i think 2m of tubing is not enough though!!

https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-coolstream-ce-140-single $70 140mm rad

TOTAL =========$487.00

my budget for water cooling is $500 .......ANY SUGESTIONS !!!!!!!
IS 500MM ENOUGH?......

or sould I just water cool the 1080ti's and leave my NOCTUA DH-15 , which is doing a great job, cooling cpu(temps never above 70c under full load), because I believe ther is pleanty of room for a 360mm rad (in pull configuration)between the cpu cooler and top of HAF X case......

this tube and fitiing are comapatible correct?????????

according to EK . those fitiitngs screw into this Y splitter

tube goes into fittings and fittings screw into y splitter according to EK

this plug screws into one female end of the y spliter

G1/4 - This is the one that confuses the most people. This refers to the threaded fitting standard that is used by almost all waterblocks and radiators. It is the end of the fitting that gets screwed into the block or rad; the other end of this same fitting is measured with the I.D. standard for tubing size. If you are unsure if the threaded fitting size is G1/4 double check before threading the fitting as you can easily cross thread a fitting that isn't using this standard.

thank you.

NOW AS SOON AS THE GPUS COME OUT.....I WILL BUY TWO OF THEM WITH AN SLI BRIDGE AND THIS CUSTOM WATER LOOP WHICH WE PRICED AT $831 FOR 720MM RAD SPACE, PREMUIM PUMP AND RESERVIOR, EXCELLANT RADS, LARGER RED COLORED DIAMTER TUBES, Y SPLITTER DRAIN, LED HIGH STATIC FANS, EXCELLANY CPU WATERBLOCK, COLORED RED COOLANT, AND EXCELLANT RED EK FITTINGS.

ALL THATS LEFT IS FOR THE GPUS TO COME OUT.
YOUR THE BEST

Looks good. Although it's the latest that's expected to be released.
Although I should mention, there aren't very many benefits to waiting for the new water blocks. I have an SLI 1080ti setup and for my blocks I use the Titan X water blocks. They work fine and OCing is smooth.

were you able to raise power target above 120%, and could you overvolt 1.1v....or 1.25v
that's the only reason I want another bios unless there is a custom bios that we could flash the cards too, it would be nice especially for water cooled, I would like to see 2400 for those cards under water... 1950 and 2050 an air cooler can do!!!! that's the only reason I want the FTW3.. other than that I am experienced with NVflash and can reflash GPUS I just don't want to custom cool to get the same results big air coolers can get cuase limits were set and cant be surpassed I do realize GPUS under water wont thermal throttle, but that not enough for me. I doint want to wait , but, I am reasonable certain EVGA'S ftw3 has an LN2 bios with most likely a 1.3v and 200% power target cap making overclocks massively increased... I am a CLASSIFED member and Skynet usually makes custom bios to turn off boost and severly raise limits

I don't do 'extreme' overclocking if you will, but I can pull some pretty decent results.
Memory boost: I can get a solid 200mhz out of my OC. And that's only with the bus buffer. Temps with OC is under 50 when on load. I mostly clock at around 2000mhz but just for a test when I first fired them up to my loop I pulled in at 2300mhz. During that bench however I docked in a stable 75C on load.
As for voltage, I haven't pumped it to the soft cap yet (1.25). I did manage to squeeze around 30-40 mv but I still have to check what the final ammount was.

1. NICE!!!!!! what was power target?
2. is your voltage Locked?
3. could you use HB SLI bridge, or did you do 2 ribbon cables?
4. Temp 74c? Why ? Not enough rad space?
I am starting to order mu custom loop today!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am going to research if I can EXTREME OC a founders card ...I really didn't want to wait till MAY 17th but I REALLY don't want to HAVE BUYERS REMORSE either...

1) I wasn't exactly sure about what my goal was at the time, so I just decided to test what its capable of. I did another overvolt last night and I got just over 40 mv boosted. The total is just above 1.1v.
2) My voltage is not locked. I can overvollt through MSI afterburner and BIOS.
3) I use an EVGA Pro HB SLI bridge with 0 spacing.
4) Yes. Since I'm not an avid overclocker, I used the very outdated guide at the time which was to have 120mm per part. Obviously, that doesn't work. Now I have a 240 for my CPU and 2 240s for both my 1080tis and everything runs cool, quiet and powerful.
My card is a GTX 1080ti MSI Armor OC edition, so its pretty good for overclocking. But the basic Founders edition should be fine.

where did yu get a block for the msi 1080ti armour edition

I am rinsing my rads now!!!!!!!!! wish me luck, black fiitings, red tubing , ROG theme.... dual Dbay res w/d5 pump, ek480 ex coolstream external, and hardware labs gts 360 u-flow, ek supremacy evo block, fill and y-drain ports, 8 f4 2200rpm varder 120 fans in push/pull on 480, 3 f4 120 fans in push for gts 360.

I have 2 4790k cpus. all I have to do is see which one clocks higher then the highest with be under water. I already have one doing 4.7 and the other is in test system ready to be pushed... also ftw3 block is out yet 1 or 2 more weeks. installing loop with cpu block first for loop desighmn, then will add gpu block in later. I git the ftw3 1080ti to 2012mhz on air.
