My CX550m psu takes off when I am under load. The fan goes up to 2000 rpm and doesn't go back down. I have already got a replacement PSU and it does the same thing.

Specs:
i7 6700k
asus z170a
8gb ram
gtx 1070 strix
cx 550m

I got the replacement from amazon. Its the exact same brand

Hmmm. It shouldn't sound like that unless fans are going. If they replaced your fan, and it's the exact same unit, then maybe something holding the fan is damaged. It's hard to imagine why they would ship it back to you without at least checking though.
Have you tried talking to corsair (give them the link to the video) and asking them what could be causing such noise in both original and a replacement unit? I'm not sure whether to cry foul at amazon's service, or if there's some technical issue with this model that's widespread.

I'd start with the tech support and see what they have to say.

This didn't work, the same problem happened.

You can get the 550 but I always get a bit more, just in case later on I want to switch to a newer cpu or gpu or even do sli, and I don't want to have to buy a whole new psu as well. Up to you which one you settle on. Since you've got hardware for OC, don't make a decision now. Once your cpu is aged some more, and you want to squeeze in just a bit more performance, you might be grateful for having the option.
