CX600 and gtx 1070 armor

So I wanna buy a gtx 1070 but it requires 8 pin connectors, but the cx 600 corsair has only 6+2 pin connectors, is it possible to put those pins in the 8 pin connector together?

exactly. the 6+2 is an 8-pin connection.

just splits 2 pins away so it is also a 6-pin when that's all that's needed. the psu will easily power a 1070

ohh so I can use those 6+2 to plug them in the 8 pin one right?

yup. they should clip back together. look close there is usually a slide connection on the side. even if it is not there, put them together and plug em all in and it'll work fine. it's designed this way on purpose

yup, thats what its for. some older gpu's used a 2pin setup
