Have 3 of these USB's connect to PC's running W10 x64. They both are connected to a USB 3.0 port.

One PC had the USB longer as it is 4 years old. The other is 2 years old. Older PC started as W7 -> W8 -> W10, and the newer one started as W8.1 > W10.

Older PC did show via PowerPanel a power drop in 2013, but neither unit shows a power drop 2 days ago for 10 minutes?

Played around testing by pulling the UPS power. Powerpanel program didn't even recognize that it was on battery?

I decided to try again with the UPS going into a USB 2.0 port. EVERYTHING WORKS!!! On both PC's?

Tried using Device Manager to update drivers and all USB drives report the driver is up to date???

Interesting that the older PC which had the UPS connected to it since it was purchased does show and old 2013 power loss as the last time it lost power?

I thought USB 3.0 was backward compatible? Is the UPS ot PowerPanel S/W though? Since it did work in the same USB 3.0 port previously, is this a W10 bug?

Solution
You meant "UPS" when you said USB several times. Just FYI.

So... USB3 issue.

1) I'm not sure what the issue is.
2) USB3 drivers should come with W10.

3) *Can you confirm that the USB3 connector works with other devices?
4) USB is simply data communication to and from the device.
