D: not showing on new laptop with fresh installed windows 10

Not clear on if you reinstalled Windows or that's how the laptop came from the manufacturer? If you just reinstalled, you now have the EFI System Partition on the 0 drive. You laptop won't boot if you remove this drive, i.e. it should be on disk 1/C drive. I'd suggest that you remove disk 0, then reinstall Windows on disk 1. Then, you'll have all system partitions and files just on a single drive. After you've successful reinstalled Windows, then reinsert the other drive. Hopefully, windows will recognizes it and you can then reformat it for use.
