Daisy Chain PCIE?

I've been seeing this PCIE Daisy Chain things, and I was wondering if someone could explain?

You use them for SLI, and I'm not actually sure if they're daisy chained, but it would be useful to know!

You're talking about the PCI-E power cable running to the GPU's power connectors?

If so, then the GPU's are connected with the available connectors from the PSU. Often times you have one cable being fed from the PSU to an individual lead on the GPU. I wouldn't suggest what the person in the picture has done. Instead opting to have a separate cable run from the PSU to the second GPU. The instance you see where only cable is used should be for one physical GPU.

Yeah, that's just a PSU cable with two PCIe power connectors on it powering a GPU and whatever the other card is. No 'daisy-chaining' there, just two cards sharing one PCIe power cable.
