An Old "myth" never tried it myself, only got told (it maybe a joke im not sure) But if you can, some monitors have screws to hold the screen to the case, undo these slightly to try and get a gap between the screen and the case, and then use hot air - like a hair dryer around the gap in the casing.
Again, ive never tried it, heard it works when someone spat all over there monitor and they hair dryed it and it worked. 98% of it did anyways.
