Sorry, wasn't sure whether to post this under motherboards or cases or cooling.
Just finished building my new pc. When I select AUTO on the front of the case for the fan settings, it makes the PC very loud and I'm assuming AUTO is putting them on max speed (it's much louder than 3 which is 65%). AUTO is supposed to let my motherboard control the fans, I have an ROG Maximus X HERO, I've done the Q-Fan tune thing but it hasnt seemed to make a difference. Please help me understand how to make it so that the AUTO function actually makes my fans be as fast/slow as is required.
One thing which may be helpful, I was having a post error of CPU Fan Speed error, which after googling seems to be quite common and is solved by setting the cpu fan to ignore on the monitoring tab in BIOS. This fixed it.
In HWMonitor my cpu is at 29c and the one fan it shows (shows one fan and pump for some reason) is at just under 1400 rpm.
