Hello and good day,
I have an ASUS laptop, model A555LD.

After going to the BIOS and changing the boot order (and enabling CSM) and restarting, the screen is now dark (can’t see whether the BIOS is now displayed or anything else). Yup, that’s all I did. And laptop starts fine before this.
Things I have tried:
Pressing ESC key or F2 while restarting.
Take off the main battery and leaving it off a while and then trying to restart.
Looking for the CMOS battery: can’t find! A kind moderator here says it could be one of the mobo with “capacitor-battery”.
Disconnect the DVD drive and/or HDD and trying to start.
Laptop graphics is of course the on-mobo Intel GPU with the integrated Nvidia; tried to jiggle the LCD connector/cable.
Nope, nothing works! Still staring at the dark screen. HDD and CPU cooler fan is spinning though.
Dear members, anything else I can do?
Mucho gracias 🙂
