[SOLVED] Data error (cyclic redundancy check) on External HDD

Hello,
I have an external HDD Transcend StoreJet 25M3 and it worked flawlessly until today.
After 4 hours from (now last) HDD's proper work I connected it to PC and noticed I can't read or write data on external HDD.
In Disk Management HDD shows as "Disk 2 Unknown Not Initialized". After trying to initialize HDD (either MBR or GPT) an error occurs: "Data error (cyclic redundancy check)", and the led on HDD flashes few times. Device Manager sees external HDD in "Disk Drives".

I also tried to use external HDD with laptop that has Linux Mint installed. HDD only shows as connected usb device (in "lsusb" output), but not as storage device (no occurence of HDD in the "lsblk" output).

External HDD hasn't taken any physical damage since the last time that it worked properly.

If any other information needed to resolve this issue, I will provide it. I will be glad for any help.

Either external enclosure or disk itself has failed.
You can try to remove the disk from enclosure and connect it directly to a desktop pc with sata cables.
If it works, then disk is fine and enclosure has failed.
If it doesn't work, then disk itself has failed.
