I have a 2TB WD Element HDD. Last week I needed to take data from the HDD to a pen drive, and I used my laptop. Firstly, I quick format the pen drive (I'm 95% sure that I formatted the right pen drive disc).
Just in a couple of seconds, I noticed my HDD has 1.81TB of free space. I was confused and shocked! But I need to recover my data, since I didn't overwrite any data in the HDD; there's still free space of 1.81 TB. Now for 3 days I had used 2 data recovery software programs.
1.File Scavenger (I did it 3-4 years back, and it works).
2.Disk Drill
But both programs find nothing. Not even a single file.
What should I do? Use more programs to find any data.
