Data Transfer help

so i was upgrading my OS from Windows 8 to Windows 10 Pro and i transferred my photos to a hdd and then took it out after i shut the computer down. Then i installed Win10 and when i plug the HDD in nothing pops up in the files so what should i do it was working before i upgraded the OS

Did you confirm that the transfer actually occurred ? Was that a copy/paste ? Did anything else change re the hdd ?

You have a whole new OS. What were you expecting to happen?

The "Libraries" in your new OS do not know where your old files are.

I confirmed that I transferred the data and there was nothing else happened to the HDD nor did it have any other files except the ones I transferred. I just now unplugged the HDD with the OS and tried loading an OS on the HDD I used for my pictures and the computer recognized it(I didn’t load the OS on it)

I used two different HDDS one for the OS a 1TB and a the pictures on a 750GB

Where are you thinking they are supposed to 'pop up'?

I transferred the pictures to the new HDD and everything I transferred was in the hdd

Lol never mind it’s what I thought it was just needed to update the damn thing all my data was good
