[DayZ Standalone] Anyone know why my PC Struggles to get over 20 FPS in DayZ on Medium settings?

I'm not really experienced in PC building and a buddy of mine recommended this build for a start:
CPU: AMD A10-5800K Trinity Quad-Core 3.8GHz (4.2GHz Turbo)
GPU: SAPPHIRE Radeon R9 270X 100364L 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5
RAM: CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) (2 - 16 GB)
Motherboard: MSI A78M-E35 FM2+ / FM2 AMD A78 (Bolton D3) 6 x SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

I get 20-25 FPS in the woods most of the time but in cities... rip.

I can't lie I get jealous looking at some people running the game on high settings smooth..

Well even people with i7's and GTX 980ti are having problems above medium, I have an i5 4460 and GTX 970 and I get 20-40 but I rather have 60fps so I got a refund.

Yeah games like dayz and ark are still in "developmental" stages. You'll continue to see performance boosts as the development cycle goes on, just don't expect miracles.

5k's a bit of a stretch, i'd say more realistically around 2-3k

25-45 fps outside with my 980 ti and 6700k. Just tested. That isn't smooth.

Depends on the settings you go on, but i doubt you'd get 25 fps(maybe inital loading drop) unless you went 4k @ 1080p with a 980 ti and a 6700k on a higher setting probably 40 average. Though i really don't want to have to re download to give an estimate.

trust me. Steven hawkings runs better than DayZ.
