what's the poop on the performance difference between a ddr geforce and the new geforce2 mx? in real world terms, not triangles per second on the spec. sheets?

i need to upgrade from my old riva tnt and seem to be able to find a CL Annihilator Pro w/ tv out (32mg. ddr) @ 130$ + s+h or the Visiontek geforce2 mx (32mg. sdr) @ 99$ + s+h.

any recommendations?

I think the only difference is the DDR gets more FPS than the MX because of memory issues. As far as more features go the only thing I know is Some Mx cards have the Dual head display. I just bought a Elsa Erazor X2 for $105 and I love it so far, except the massive problems I had at first.

Ok, the DDR has the 4 Rendered pipeline as apposed to the 2 rendered pipeline of the MX. I have the MX, I tried a friends DDR, in one word, wow! DDR all the way man. Wish I had saved the money and bought the DDR. Hope this helps.

"There is no spoon!"

if $31 more is not a prob. for you, go ahead for DDR.

I also have the same hesitation... Elsa Erazor X2 or a GeForce II MX card... for the same price... I think i'll be best with the ddr one even if it's not a geforce 2
