Would the Abit NF-7 work ok with 2x256Mb 3200 dimms & 1x512Mb 2700?

I only ask cause PC World(uk) are selling the 256Mb 3200 for only £21.45 and
to set my system up with 1Gb this would appear to be the cheapest way of
doing, and according to the manual for the NF-7 it will only accept 2x3200
or 3x2700.

I have also read somewhere that you can run 3x3200 chips in the NF-7S, would
this be true?

I would be running with an xp 2400+

Also what level of PSU would be recommended, I currently have a 300W supply
but does not have the SATA power leads!

Cheers

Your speed would be limited by the PC2700.

See the mesage below (Using 3 memory sticks on NF7-S) for issues with using
3 DIMMS. In my contact with the OCZ memory reps, they had mentioned that in
their testing of the NF7-S board, it was happier with just using 2 Dimms.
If using the third Dimm slot then there could be some instablity issues
especailly if the memory sticks are much different. Some people have no
problems at all. and others do. Luck of the draw on the Motherboard and the
memory. I think I am going to get the same type memory as best as I can.
They will be different though as they are from different lots and different
IC's.

I am assuming it would work fine with 3 sticks of 3200, say 2x256Mb &
1x512Mb?

Sure ! at another nforce2 motherboard, I run with one stick pc2700 256
Mb and one stick pc3200 128 Mbyte. I get dual ram band, the bios says,
and can run up to 190 MHz, since that is the speed limit of the pc2700
(I have found out, they are some nice crucial).

best regards
