As the title suggests.
My X2 3800+ recently broke, and I was looking to recycle the two 7800GTs and the 2GB of decent RAM that I had, problem is that it's DDR1 RAM; which leads to my question:
Is it possible to get a motherboard which supports this or is it impossible on the Core 2 Duo architecture?

Thanks in advance!

it's possible with a ASRock motherboard:

ASRock 4COREDUAL-VSTA ATX LGA775 Conroe PT800 Ultra DDR DDR2 AGP PCI-E16 4PCI SATA Sound Motherboard

it has 2 DIMM slots for DDR1 and 2 DIMM slots for DDR2.
can't use DDR1 and DDR2 at the same time though.

He stated he wants to use his TWO video cards, though. Plus, you are limited to only two RAM slots since you can't use all four at once.

My suggestion... don't limit yourself to a handful of motherboards that will work. Instead, get the SLI mobo you want and some DDR2, and sell your DDR on eBay.

I agree completely. Grab a set or 2 of this, or 1 set of this and an SLI capable board. Sell the DDR on eBay.

To answer your original question, there are no C2D boards that support DDR1 and have dual PCI-E x16 for SLI.

DDR1 is more expensive than DDR2, so as the other posters suggest, you can sell it and buy new (possibly even make a profit, but should break even at the very least)
