ddr2 2x4 8gb ram not working

My PC isn't posting when I boot it. I just installed the new ram sticks. I tried resetting the bios using the jumper on the motherboard. I've swapped out ram sticks place them both in each slot. I can't go into the bios settings because it was just a black screen. My other ram worked just fine with the computer. I don't know what to do now. My motherboard is an MSI N1996 EuP 2013. The ram is 667mhz bus speed and the brand is Kingston. Both sticks are 4gb. Before ordering it on eBay the seller said it worked and that it was tested.

No. Both of the ram sticks don't work on either ram slot. Everything else powers on in the system except for the ram. I don't get a bios beep either.

Most DDR2 boards will support 8GB via 4x2GB, some in a 2x4GB.
This board does, in a 2x4GB config.

I checked the motherboard specifications and it did say that 8gb was the motherboard's max amount of ram.

i think the problem was that I was using an amd motherboard with ram that does not support an amd build
