This motherboard is quite nice as it not only supports faster than pc2-4200, which is ddr2 533Mhz, but supports all the way up to ddr2 1366Mhz, which I never even knew existed. It also specifically mentions supporting 16gb memory: "4 x 1.8V DDR2 DIMM sockets supporting up to 16 GB of system memory":I'm looking to upgrade RAM in a Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R motherboard.
Presently it is using 4 sticks of 512MB 2Rx8 PC2-4200U-444-12-E0.
Can I install 4 sticks of 4Gb Ram of a faster buss speed, or does it have to match the buss speed on the motherboard?
Thanks
