DDR2 + DDR3 combo on same motherboard, Possible???

This is a mixed question of motherboard and memory

I can get my hands on a free motherboard supporting a combo of memory options ddr2/ddr3
similar to this one (not exact, simply an example I found online):

Question:
On these kind of motherboards (memory combo), is it possible to install 2X ddr2 2gb sticks + 2X ddr3 2gb sticks and end up with 8gb, or will the bios/OS not accept it?

No, You cannot mix DDR2 with DDR3, DDR with DDR2 and so on. Even DDR3 with DDR3 of different speed will cause a compatibility issue. I'd recommend getting the exact same type of RAM.

Not sure you understood my meaning, the mobo has two dedicated slots for ddr2 and two dedicated slots for ddr3 (4 slots in total). I was not asking if installing a mix ddr2+ddr3 will work, I was asking if the bios/OS will recognize installing ddr2 in their dedicated slots and ddr3 in their dedicated slots at the same time.

No, with those rare boards that had both, you could only use one or the other.

Yes, those "combo" motherboards could only use either DDR2 or DDR3 memory, but not both types at the same time.
