DDR3 future prices?

Lately DDR3 has dropped like DDR4, but as with every change of RAM technology production is expected to stop and prices will raise.

When it will happen? How is the stock?

I have plan to upgrade my ddr3 (to 16gb) in a couple of months.

If you want the lowest prices upgrade as soon as possible. As DDR4 enters the mainstream eventually DDR3 price will start to rise much like DDR2 did. Of course this won't happen tomorrow or anything but I'd give it max a year before it starts.

The prices of DDR3 will start to rise, it will not happen at once, but after a year or two DDR3 will become what DDR2 is now.
For your information - 1GB DDR2 is approximately $15.

Am guessing a few months yet but they will start to go up unless we have another IC factory burndown or whatever, production is up on ICs and there's some competition oin the chip market yet

So a couple of months should be fine, probably even lower price.
