Hey All,

Bought:G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133mhz (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model F3-2133C11D-16GXL

Put into:

ASUS Z97-A/USB 3.1 LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 ATX Intel Motherboard

Have:

Intel Core i7-4790K Devil's Canyon Quad-Core 4.0 GHz LGA 1150 BX80646I74790K Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 4600

On the asus uefi bio, is showing that only recognizing 1600mhz,

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Downclocked because your CPU doesnt support 2133Mhz RAM. If it supported atleast 1866MHz RAM, it could've worked at full speed. Try OCing your CPU/RAM to max and it should reach at least 1866MHz.

Damn, this is bs, the i7 seriously won't support that speed, I just got, maybe should have gone with the i5 6600

Too bad you haven't checked the compatibility before. Now you know you have to check motheboard and CPU compatibility before you purchase the RAM.

Last question, should I enable the

intel rapid start technology and intel smart connect technology support ?

That doesn't have to do anything with your RAM. But yeah, give it a try.
