DDR3 SODIMM in DDR3L laptop?

I'm considering buying a used laptop that the manufacturer's specs say take DDR3L SODIMM modules. I have two 8GB SODIMMs that I think are plain ol' DDR3. Will they work in a DDR3L RAM slot?

You need to use DDR3L.
