Question DDR4 Compatibility with Z370P-D3

I used Pc Parts Picker and Newegg's part picker to find compatible ram, they suggested Corsair Vengeance Memory model CMK64GX4M4A2666C16
I have an Intel i5-8600 3.1gig cpu

When I plug the ram in it won't post. My buddy thinks it may be the CPU, but I bought it 3 years ago.
