I recently acquired some laptop ram from a friend. I was wondering if it is technically possible to use laptop ram on a desktop. (with an adapter, etc)

Here is the parts I am currently using:

CPU: Intel I7 - 6700k
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-B250M-D3H

This is the ram I want to install:

Ok, this is something that never occurred to me until seeing this question. However, I did a quick search, and while this is from 2016, and is using DDR3, apparently there ARE adapters, and they seem to work:

I have no experience with such adapters, am not a member of that site, or anything. It's just one of the top few results when I did a Google search.

Until I saw that today, though, my automatic reaction would've been "No, I've never heard of such a thing."
