Hi

I'm looking for some advice on RAM overclocking. I currently have the below PC spec:
  • CPU: 7800X3D
  • Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F
  • Memory: 2x 16GB DDR5 Corsair Vengeance
  • GPU: GeForce RTX 4080 (16GB)
  • PSU: Corsair PSU 1000W RMX SHIFT SERIES RM1000X
I've tried running this at 6000mhz using the motherboard EXPO setting, but after doing this it ran into POST and BSOD issues, so I reverted it to the default of 4800mhz, after which it's been fine for months now. This instability was after installing the ASUS BIOS 1415 update, and it was running below a CPU SOC voltage of 1.25v. The BIOS is on version 1709 now. Based on benchmarking I've seen for similar machine specs, it looks like even getting it to 5600mhz would be worthwhile, but I'm keen to make sure I do it safely. Are there any good guides fitting how to overclock in this scenario?

Set EXPO then manually change the speed to 5600.
Make sure the memory is in the correct spots as per the motherboard manual usually 2 and 4 going away from the CPU.
Went into the BIOS, and it basically allows me to enable DOCP, then offers a number of options like DOCP I, DOCP II and DOCP Tweaked. They're all preset to 6000 mhz, but you can scroll down in the AI Overclocker to pick 5600mhz. I'm just wondering though will that then run with the 6000mhz preset CPU SOC voltage or will it adjust the voltages? Even after the BIOS updates in May running it at 6000mhz was unstable.
